When I saw the East coast of our magnificent country going up in smoke; following my total disbelief despite having seen it all before if not quite so bad, as to how we got to that place, my next thought was to find ways to stop it.
Climate change is a factor, and one which I address constantly, but that will take time to sort out, but sort it out we must.
Then the practicalities. My brother was a senior Fiery in the UK and in the middle east. I bounced a few ideas off him and he did the same with me as I am an engineer and strive to find engineering answers wherever that is possible. Instinct I suppose. Anyway, I posited the idea of a mobile, fireproof wall and pursued that idea as was encouraged to do so.
This mobile barrier concept exists, but is usually made of concrete and dumped in place to try to protect the area designated. Not awfully mobile and I thought there has to be an easier way, and this is it. Built like Lego TM blocks after positioning and filled with water to stand where you need them. Empty and move to a new position as required.
We are still going through manufacturing development with those excellent people at the CSIRO and we near a solution which covers the brief of having mobile fire protection barriers which would be capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 1200 degrees C, and sustained temperatures of up to 1000 degrees C. Essentially, made out of recyclable plastics.
These barriers are protected by patent registration in Oz, and therefore by the other 160 international signatories to the Patent Body, so we have time to perfect the final offering.
I need to sort out the website as regards info as its all still in what’s really still draft form. This is an ongoing exercise so anyone who looks at it, may still be seeing old info. The animation is good though! and up to date.
