Mobility When You Need It Most
The mobility of the FirePicket system is a feature which allows barriers to be moved to the next area of threat relatively quickly. Individual modules may be drained and water recycled where necessary, or used for local area spot fire extinguishant or dampening.
Fire services may also use the water for fire fighting as a 3m by 3m barrier could potentially hold around 4700 litres of water/Thermogel. When moved into the next danger area the barriers would be positioned and refilled to provide the required protection.
Choose From A Range Of Sizes
The barriers are manufactured of recyclable plastic, they are hollow and are filled with wet sand/water/Thermogels to provide the weight required to hold them in place during a fire or flood event.
The largest commonly available single system is 3 metres high and circa 3 metres wide made up of 3 * 1 metre high barriers atop each other. The largest single 3 block system can weigh up to 7.6 tonnes when the base is filled with wet sand and the top and middle sections filled with water/Thermogel.
Smaller barriers and corner blocks are available as required but commonly the barriers are supplied in 1,2 and 3 metre widths. Smaller 500mm wide barriers are also available where it is envisaged the barriers will be required to cover undulating terrain and or variable fire fronts.
